High school is a hellscape full of cruelty and fury. Carter Kim knew that well and he did what he could to protect his best friend Dominic from it all. Especially from the Heathers.

The Heathers are the group of popular kids, headed by Chad Heather and flocked with Trevor Heather and Henri Heather--all unrelated. Their friendship is upheld by the closeness of their families. However not all is what it seems with the three of them either. Not that they let anyone see that.

Carter's life is only turned upside down when he meets a mysterious loner named Kent who had recently moved to town. He seemed alluring and mysterious at first but soon shows hos psychotic he actually thinks when he starts trying to kill people around Carter and staging it as suicides, leading to a string of copycats in the town. Carter has to figure out a way to stop him and return a sense of normalcy before he loses those that he loves.
