In the world of wizards, everyone is born with some kind of inherent magic. With such intense powers also comes a multitude of monsters, and the darkness within man's heart grows deeper.

There have recently been a sudden surge of wizards turning dark, and growing violent out of nowhere before disappearing entirely. The cause is not known and it is not even known for certain that these cases are all connected. The disappearances take a toll on many families, notably Carter's. His husbands Kent and Damien both turned and disappeared with no warning, leaving violent devestation and trauma in their wake. He now cares for Kent's sister who was injured during the turning, and is son Sonam who is deeply traumatized from the event.

Meanwhile at the largest wizarding academy in the plane, Calamity and Rylee, two up-and-coming wizards, start investigating the matter alongside their friend Cole who believes that there is a greater conspiracy to investigate. They may be young, but they are capable, and if they can just find the people with the right information, they may be able to make a difference.
