Sorrow is a grave domain cleric, who's God of worship is Hades from Greek Mythology. The campaign he originates from sadly ended before I got the chance to really play as him. I still kept his character sheet, hoping to be able to use him at some point.

That point came along after I moved, and found out there were some D&D players in my area. One of them was even interested in DMing. What worked out, even more, was that he wanted to do a campaign somewhat based on Greek Mythology. Sorrow's original God was Hades, and this meant I wouldn't have to change that.

Along the way, things may have gotten a bit OP, but given the stuff he threw at us, it all worked out in the end. Due to circumstances, we haven't been able to pick up again in a while. However, Sorrow still remains one of my favorite D&D characters. I have since started using him in RPs, to better develop his personality and backstory. Along the way, a certain human managed to worm his way into Sorrow's heart and has since become a permanent part of his story.

I based the percentages out of 20, since none of Sorrow's stats go over that.

As for his personality, Sorrow is a very curious person. Though quite scary when he needs to be, or when he's angry, he's actually pretty friendly. The only catch is that he isn't familiar with the current lingo that people use nowadays. He also isn't aware what is socially acceptable to talk about and what isn't. He will not hesitate to talk about what kind of coffin you'd look good in, all while smiling at you sweetly as if that's a normal thing to talk about. Sorrow also has zero concept of personal space, and he will practically be glued to your side the moment he deems you as a friend.

Life in solitude has not made him any less weary of other people. If anything, it has made him even more desperate for some form of interaction. Just don't assume that you can push him around. The moment that he realizes that you're just using him, he won't hesitate to cut you. Both figuratively and literally. He might seem all sweet and innocent, but underneath all that the small male is also very violent. Just remain on his good side and you don't have to worry about his more violent tendencies.

Childhood

Originally born as Damakos Fleuret, Sorrow used to live a good life. Sure his family wasn't rich, but they weren't poor either. They were just a normal middle-class family, who happened to worship a god of death. This was something the townsfolk didn't like. They also didn't like how his family harbored some weird artifact, which was rumored to be able to summon said god. That rumor was somewhat false. It's not used to summon the god himself, but it could be used to open a rift to the underworld. But this could only be done with the other items from the set, at a specific shrine, and at a specific time. It's a whole long and overcomplicated thing. Anyway, his family was guarding this artifact. For even though they worshipped the god of death, they also didn't wish to bring harm to this world. However, there are cultists out there with a different point of view. They were the people his family was keeping the relic from. Sadly, and probably unsurprisingly, those cultists were willing to do anything to get their hands on what they want. When Sorrow was ten years old, they assaulted and killed his family. The townsfolk and guardsmen just turned a blind eye and didn't bother to help them. The male always assumed that they were paid off or something like that. Anyway, that night, he barely escaped with his life. He snuck out through a secret passageway and ran away from his house. He didn't want to do that, but his father insisted that he did so. However, he didn't leave empty-handed. Clutched in his small hands, was the relic that they cultists were desperately searching for. He ran and ran, until he couldn't run anymore. Eventually, he stumbled into a graveyard, which belonged to a neighboring town. Unable to go any further, the small child collapsed a few feet from the cottage.

The Graveyard

When he woke up again, an elderly elf was taking care of him. This elf would soon become his mentor, friend, and someone he'd view as a grandfather. He taught him everything he needed to know about how to properly take care of a graveyard, and how to protect it from unwanted trespassers. This was when Sorrow began his new life. He changed his name and began to let his hair grow out. He hated lying to his mentor, but he couldn't stand dragging him even deeper into his problems than what he already had. He spent years learning what he could, rarely leaving the small cabin that quickly became his new home. If he did go outside, he never set foot outside the graveyard. Recently, Sorrow's mentor mysteriously disappeared, leaving the male to do all the work himself. He had tried to follow in the old man's footsteps, but Sorrow quickly became lonely on his own. And even if the person means to harm him, he knows that one day his loneliness will cause him to do the one thing he isn't supposed to do. Invite the person to stay.

Ace Banks

Ace is someone Sorrow met while maintaining the graveyard. The human found his way there because of a dare, and Sorrow didn't have the heart to tell him to leave. He just wanted someone to talk to and interact with, so he invited Ace to stay. Their relationship budded rather quick, though Sorrow falling head over heels for someone so quick is fairly common. Ace makes him feel like the luckiest tiefling in the world. He'd never give him up, nor would he ever let any harm come to the human.
