Alderwood

Very excited and enthusiastic, but doesn't have a very close relationship with his stepfather or mother, and he suspects it has something to do with Rainshadow. Woodclaw is definitely Alderwood's adoptive dad, whether his mentor is aware of it or not. Alderwood works very hard to impress his "dad" and wishes to be just as big and strong and kind as he is when he becomes a Ranger. 

Despite how much he's improved, Lady Lakenight is still reluctant to make Alderwood a Ranger for some reason. He can feel Woodclaw's disappointment, but he's sure to tell him that he's not disappointed in him, and that he feels like he's failed him as a mentor. The opposite couldn't be more true, and Alderwood makes it known as often as possible. He was finally made a Ranger under the leadership of Lady Skyshine.

FATHER:  Pepperfire - Pepperfire left the Colony of the Mire before he and his siblings were born. From the stories that Autumnleap has told him, Pepperfire was not exactly prime daddy material. His former mate actually suspects that it was actually he who encouraged the doomed expedition of Hazeldust and Creekday in a bid to get his apprentice out of his hair for the day, effectively dooming the Colony. Not exactly the sort of thing you share with your kids about their pop.

MOTHER: Autumnleap - Having the Colony's conspiracy theorist as your mother is never going to do wonders for a stable home life. Alderwood often opts to avoid his mother whenever he's able, preferring to bury kithood memories of his mother's ranting and bitterness in the midst of Ranger training.

SIBLINGS: Thunderstep - Considers him a budding killer and does his utmost to avoid him. His mother's refusal to discipline him and his chosen mentor - Hazeldust - only cements his negative opinion of him.

Minkfang - His partner in crime. The two can often be seen hunting together and standing guard. Minkfang's confidence often brings Alderwood out of his shell and he feels he can talk to her about anything.

Lilybright - A typical little sister. Always annoying him, getting in his nest and wrecking it and constantly bothering him and Mink when they have 'Ranger' talk.

MENTOR: Woodclaw - Woodclaw is the surrogate parent that Alderwood had always craved. Woodclaw - reluctant to entertain the idea of having kittens - is guarded about this, however, preferring to enjoy a brotherly relationship between him and his Novice.
