She refuses to talk about her past to almost anyone. If you are very VERY close she'll breezily confide that she came to the Trinity States as a child and lived on the streats, surviving by stealing when she could and earning her keep thorugh illegal knife fights when she couldn't find other means. 

When she was eleven she and her familiar saved a younger child from assult and created a small family unite. She started to collect favors from governesses so her new brother could get reading and speach classes. By the time she was fifteen she'd moved up in the underground as a courier for important people. When she got wind of a brewing gang war that would decimate the slums she forged papers and got her brother into the upper military for a chance at a real future. 

She later that same year was taken on to work at a courier for a noble after turning in her entire gang to the athorities and catching notice of a leutinent. 

Sybil fought in the Katinor War at sixteen and that was the beginning of her alias The Owl.
