Background: Nera was born deaf. She was also slow at learning things, so it was hard for her in the early years of her childhood. Her mother was very impatient and wasn't exactly suited to be a mother anyways, so her father was usually the one that supported her and her brothers. Nera has two older brothers who are three years older than her. They were there for her, and defended her from threats etc. Nera's dad and brothers loved her dearly, but Nera longed for a mother figure as well. Nera unlocked her telepathy when she was ten, when she wanted to warn her brother of a threat during a fight. Nera continued to train her ability a lot, as she found it was another way for her to communicate with the world. Nera also got to know other disabled kids in schools and support groups etc, and she learned to ignore hate. Thanks to her family, she learned to be resilient. Nera found it difficult to participate in sports due to her short stamina, so she does her best to avoid fights. She doesn't exactly do well in academics which makes her wonder about her future career options. Nera also isn't dumb or super naive necessarily btw.
