About

Ah yes, quite a popular fellow indeed! Atticus Altair is a charming gentleman of class, and an up-and-coming Hollywood actor on the silver screen. His physical attributes, such as his peculiar but iconic feathers, and the striking mallen streak that adorns his hair, make him unique and stick out from the crowd of other well-known male actors.

Atticus has an air of confidence, dapperness, and arrogance, while also being elegant, polite, and gentlemanly. Although he has an arrogant side, most of the time he tends to be respectful and kind to his peers. He has a fairly good reputation in the eyes of the general public, and his status is one of the most important things to him. (His personality type is ENFJ-A if that helps)

Little does the public know that his feather "headpiece" that he seemingly wears around everywhere are actually real feathers growing out of his head. This is because Atticus is part of a race of bird-human shapeshifters, known as "avianthropes" (aves for short). Aves are seemingly everyday individuals that are born with feathers, scales, and a "bird form" that they can morph into at will, as well as other bird-like traits. Though they can shapeshift to get rid of their bird features (such as feathers and scales) in their human form, it's only something they can do temporarily because morphing can tire them out.

He feels great pride in his ave heritage, as it makes him feel like he is powerful and also unique. However, he does keep very quiet about it, due to the stigma that aves get in society. Outside of his immediate family, he has never told a single soul aside from Helenore Ashford, a co-actress who is also an ave like him. Like all aves, Atticus can morph into his bird form, which is a black and white barn owl.

His roles mostly consist of the typical "leading men" roles, starring in dramas, comedies, or sometimes even musicals. But sometimes he plays as villains due to his iconic mallen streak giving him a "spooky" vibe.

Trivia

He was born on January 29th, 1896 in London, England. He then immigrated to the United States from the UK in 1917. Many years later down the line (around the early 1920s), he proceeded to star in many silent films. After silent films died out, he then decided to try out acting in "talkies" at Hollywood which was met a lot of success.

His most iconic look is when he is wearing white tie and tails, but he will also wear regular black tie (tuxedo), a morning coat, and other slightly less formal suits, such as pinstripe ones. He wears suits almost 99% of the time, regardless of the time of day or occasion.

He is an only child.

Despite his charismatic and charming persona, Atticus in reality has always been a bit reserved about his private life.

Atticus doesn't feel the need to hide his feathers in his hair from the public, unless he's in a situation where he absolutely has to. They are real feathers, but if people ever question him about it, he just says they are an "ornamental headpiece" or, "decoration". The only outwardly ave traits he feels pressured to hide in public are his scales, and the feathers on the rest of the body (but ONLY if he's in swimwear or undergarments). He leaves the feathers on his head alone because without them, he feels "naked". His lie seems to work, as people tend to not pester him about it very often.

His bird form is a black and white barn owl. Although the owl form doesn't serve a very important purpose, he uses it to eavesdrop, travel more efficiently from place to place, and to occasionally show off.

He is quite literally a dandy and always wants to look his best at all times. His family has always prided themselves on formality, elegance, and chivalry towards others.

Atticus greatly values manners in others and is personally offended by disrespect and rudeness.

He is a light smoker and drinks a little too often.

He and Helenore Ashford are good friends, but both of them have some romantic feelings for each other.

Atticus has always felt a connection to astronomy and the study of stars. His father (Cassius Altair) is an astronomer, who worked at one of the most famous observatories in the United Kingdom. Cassius's passion for the stars is why he gave Atticus the last name "Altair", which is a star in the constellation of Aquila. It translates to "flying eagle" in English.

He drives a 1929 Duesenberg Model J.

Atticus is 6'5, which is quite a rare height to have during his time period, and as a result of this he unintentionally intimidates people.
