ALEXANDER ELSINORE CROWE
Once upon a time, a child had asked him if he was a ghost. At the time he had simply corrected the mistake. It was not an uncommon question. Decades pass and his names are forgotten in time. He forgets the faces of friends; he forgets their words. In the cavity where his heart once resided, he thinks - well, he might as well be a ghost, if he's still anything at all.

Alec is someone who is easily swayed by emotions - a trait that shows through his often impulsive nature. Despite this, he's rather awkward when it comes to personal situations, and he's hesitant to open up to even his closest friends. Naturally, he hides all this behind a tough exterior, and over the years he's perfected controlling his expressions to the point that he has all but forgotten how to smile. He's of few words, coming off as antisocial at best and unlikeable at worst. Though it seldom shows, he's a sensitive soul to the core. Often he finds his body moving faster than his mind can react - and not always in his favor, as countless times it's gotten him into trouble.

Alec holds strong in his convictions, whatever form they may take. He harbors a will of steel, finding very few things that can stir fear or hesitation in him. He follows his heart first and foremost - he's constantly pressing against the flow, leading as his conscience directs. He holds his ideals to a high standard, valuing loyalty above all else. He holds his bonds for a lifetime - trust is hard to come by, and those who earn it shall know; for a loved one, neither would he hesitate to lay down his own life nor the life of another. If he could use any words to describe himself, he would say that "actions speak louder than words."

When he was young, Father told him not to go out in storms, that the storms were the great terrors that killed their ancestors. Mother told him not to worry; she would keep him safe for as long as she lived. She told him stories of her grandfather, who once upon a time lived on the moon. "They did it for us, to keep us safe." Keep him safe, they did. If not for their love, he would have died in a storm years ago. On the loneliest nights, Alec wishes his family did not love him; if they did not love him, they could have lived in his place.
