Profile
Felix is a engineer and medical researcher, currently employed by the Garlean Empire. He is direct subordinate to Aulus mal Asina and achieved his title and citizenship through his efforts in the Resonant project. And possibly by selling Sharlayan information.
Felix is a studious but internally insolent individual. He can perfrom etiquette when needed but despises any limits people may set for him. Despite his upbringing in Sharlayan, he had little care how his actions might affect the bigger picture and continues his research for personal and idealistic reasons. Most of his problems are self-made.
Early Years
Though born and partly educated in Sharlayan, Felix held an early interested in Magitek technology, as a means to transcend the natural magical powers people hold. Blinded by curiosity and pride, he hastily left his home at the age of 17 to enroll in the Garlean military in hopes of possibly entering the Magitek Academy some day. This of course was a ridiculous plan.
It Gets Worse
He did however end up in the field he wanted to enter, learned aether manipulation, and successfully progressed with his studies. Eventually he vulenteered to have an early version of the Eye of Resonance tested on him to see the effects firsthand, since he didn't feel like he had anything to lose. (Seeing how his own magical abilities were hardly any better than those of native Garleans) The results were mixed (bad) and while his ability to sense and control aether improved, the affected eye lost sight permanently, leaving him with natural bad eyesight in a singular eye. There is little prove he gained any Echo powers.
Current
He has since been looking for a way to desert his position eventually. However, he is determined to finish his studies on the Resonant Project first and, if possible, to cause as much trouble on the way out as he possibly can. Ever since the mysterious disappearance of the Isle of Val, the place he grew up in, he has been experiencing mild memory loss. He is not entirely sure what caused this, only that the timing is curious and it seems to affect his childhood memories in particular.
Though they are siblings, they have not been in contact for roughly ten years and were never close before that. Felix is slowly forgetting about her and their family in general.
He is a strange creature and Felix cannot take him seriously at all. However, he tries to focus on the little common ground they have - their work - to keep himself from accidentally blowing his lid. It is safe to say Felix prefers the company of his lower rank co-workers.
A mechanic who got assigned to the Resonant project a few years ago. He has a steadfast forgiving disposition and carries a very dry sort of humour. Probably the only person Felix trusts to some extend.
