Profile

Name - Pixus

Gender - Female

Species - Panneki

Characteristics-

  • Her speech occasionally regresses into corrupted gibberish - this occurs more frequently when she’s emotionally unstable

Personality

  • She tends to be rather shy, anti-social and worrisome.
  • No matter how much she doesn’t want to admit it, she’s rather naive and very insecure about herself.
  • Pixus has a bit of a nasty habit of trying to infiltrate electronic entities and attempting to control them.
  • She’s very curious about new robots and beings and likes to take control of them.

Appearance and features -

  • Special watch(es) to show mana level, consumption, expected lifespan, corruption percentage, etc.
  • Mask can emote.
  • Eyes and red/blue areas can change colors and patterns.
  • Can temporarily change shape of body parts using mana.
  • Paws can drain mana from living entities.
  • Body can turn into electricity - can possess mechanical and electronic entities in this form.
  • Height – 50 cm / 20 inches
  • Weight – (really lightweight)

Info -

  • Pixus is the first electronic program created by the Panneki, and was initially heavily bug-prone due to their inexperience with programming, but a kind soul helped iron out those bugs and even turn them into weaponry if needed, and gave her an upgraded "body" to enter the physical world. She mainly likes to explore around, learn about new things and befriend others.
  • Pixus loves retro aesthetics, like electronic designs from the 90’s. (Stuff like Windows 95, early website designs, etc.)
  • Like the rest of the Panneki, she can harvest “Mana” (a life force her species generally use) by laying her hand/paws on living creatures and entities. The process of harvesting mana takes a while. Overcharging mana does irreversible changes to her current body, like making her mutate.
  • Pixus can “possess” robots and digital beings and essentially become them.
  • In terms of combat, she’s very weak and tends to rely on her technical skills, weaponry (if she has any) and the help of her “forms” (controlling other robots).
  • -
  • Unfortunately, Pixus’s nativity tends to get her into all sorts of trouble, with her failing to realize the malicious intentions of other individuals until it’s too late. At one point this even caused her to perform a deliberate mana overcharge just to eliminate her threats, a highly dangerous task to do for her species considering it can lead to irrepairable damage done to both their bodies and mentality.
  • While this mana overcharge may be unseen physically, it deeply manifests inside her mentality and has a tendency to intensify her negative feelings. If Pixus becomes extremely stressed or distressed for whatever reason, she violently “explodes” into this alternate identity of pure despair and hatred dubbed “Nexel” (although she doesn’t call herself that; it’s still Pixus to her).
  • Compared to Pixus’s normal kind and worrisome self, Nexel is anything but; she’s insane in the mainframe, twisted, ruthless and sadistic, complete with getting aggressive over the smallest of things and having a lack of restrain to keep her feelings in check. Her hatred entirely consumes her, becoming nothing but a shell of herself that’s used to carrying out nefarious deeds and purposes, and has one goal; kill and eliminate everyone in her path, whether it’s by traditional means or repurposing them into her minions.
  • Thankfully, Nexel can be calmed down to revert her back into Pixus, but she’ll have no recollection of what happened when her hatred takes over her. Inside, they’re the same; she’s the same lost, miserable soul who has both been physically and mentally corrupted by abandonment and betrayal, but their key difference is how they socialize to others.

Summary of info–Pixus is the first electronic program created by the Panneki, and was initially heavily bug-prone due to their inexperience with programming, but a kind soul helped iron out those bugs and even turn them into weaponry if needed, and gave her an upgraded "body" to enter the physical world. She’s very curious about new robots and beings, what life is like from their point of view and likes to take control of them.

Summary of bio -

  • The Panneki were in development of a new but experimental computer system they dubbed “Project Pixus”, but the whole thing turned out to be very buggy with little beta-testing due to their inexperience with programming, so they ended up abandoning it. It was only when the newly formed Pixus swiftly convinced them that it could help spread their influence that they decided to give her a chance, even if she was very glitch-prone.
  • (how did she encounter her first deliberate mana overcharge?)

Weapons - Pixus is surprisingly weak on her own, and doesn’t have much, if any weapons on her own… but this doesn’t mean she’s not powerful in her own ways.

  • Inflict Virus - Pixus sends a virus to a mechanical or electrical being. This has no guarantee of getting through their systems, but if it does, it deliberately short circuits their systems to make her have an easier time of getting inside of them and taking control.
  • Machine Takeover – In her electrical state, Pixus can possess machinery and mechanical beings. Pixus also tries to remain in-character to the being, which is rather easy considering her mind is altered ever so slightly whenever she’s inside a robot to accommodate their personality, if there is one.

Powers

  • Possession - Pixus can possess computers, robots, cyborgs, androids, and generally any electronic entity.
    • When inside a being, she can control it and its powers, although more often than not, she’ll have to learn how to use the powers they have to avoid accidental and/or destructive usage of them and power incontinence (“A character must learn how to use their (usually new) abilities” and “Uncontrollable powers” respectively, according to TV Tropes.)
  • Mana Manipulation – Pixus, like the rest of the Panneki, can use her stored mana to manipulate her body.

Flaws

  • In her electrical state, she can only inhabit computers, robots/cyborgs/androids, electronic devices, and electrical beings, although she can jump between them in the real world if they're close enough. (How close is this?)
    • Adding onto this, she can’t inhabit every electronic device - firewalls can block her if they’re strong enough.
  • She’s very weak by herself.
  • No matter how much she doesn’t want to admit it, she’s rather naive and very insecure about herself.
  • Because she is primarily a program, she is not immune to being hacked, erased or deleted, especially in her electrical state.
    • Likewise, the same can happen with her getting too in-character in one of her forms, in which she’ll forget who she even was.
  • She can get a tad bit overzealous with trying to get a new form if she likes a being or species too much.
  • When inside a being, she can control it and its powers, although more often than not, she’ll have to learn how to use the powers they have to avoid accidental and/or destructive usage of them and power incontinence.
  • Pixus can get highly envious of the things she doesn’t have and will try to take them to let her species reverse engineer them.

Trivia -

  • Pixus is mostly inspired by classic Mega Man himself and other main characters from various Mega Man series (namely MegaMan.EXE from Battle Network and Omega-Xis from Star Force), the Pokémon Rotom and Eevee, and Upgrade from Ben 10.
  • Nexel is partially inspired from Super Sonic from Fleetway's Sonic the Comic, the Nega Bosses from Balan Wonderworldand Ned Flanders' nervous breakdown in the Simpsons episode Hurricane Neddy.
  • Her appearance and abilities are (heavily) based off of Floof from Five Years Later.
