Abilities

Hand to Hand

Though he is mostly a brawler when it comes to a casual fight, Orion can hold his own against even the toughest monsters in the city. Enjoying the thrill of a good fight and getting up close and personal with his opponent, Orion is often the first to throw a punch.

Electric channeling

Of all the things Orion knows how to do, his lightning channeling is the thing he is the most proud of. Using his body as a medium, Orion can both generate and move electricity from one point to another.

Transformation

When neccessary, Orion can become either a large wolf or appear completely human. He doesn't often use either form though, preferring instead to remain in what he considers to be his "true form".

"Dog Eat Dog"

While some would call him crazy or aggressive, Orion would say he simply knows better. Letting someone live just gives them more chances to kill later.

Tracking

Much to his oppenents dismay, Orion is alarming good at finding people. If he wants to get to someone, he will get to them no matter what the cost.

Hightened senses

Like the other elementals, Orion's senses are sharper than the average monster. His hearing and smell are the strongest of them, but his touch is just as sensative.

Lifestyle

Born into wealth and aristocracy, Quinn has a hard time going without certain comforts and luxuries. Luckily he has plenty of coin to spare, and spares no expense to assure necessities and comforts are met for himself and others.

Traits

Quinn has an innate curiosity about the universe and ambition for seeking knowledge and understanding. Unfortunately, spending more times with books and has lead to him being incredibly socially awkward.

Ideals

Understanding theoretical magick and unraveling the mysteries of the universe is the key to solving every problem. He feels obligated to discover and make sense of things that other's can't, in order to better educate future generations.

Flaws

Quinn struggles with hyperfocus a great deal, which leads to not only being shortsighted at times, but often overworking himself. This often results in him thinking he knows best for everyone before checking in with their own needs.

Bonds

Aside from his drive for knowledge, the most important things in Quinn's life are his husband Brandr, and the legacy of Zvezda's Grand University. He would do most anything for the the sake of both, even if it had great consequence.

Faith

A follower of the Celestial Weaver, understanding her mysteries are of utmost importance to Quinn. While his faith is a more private and personal thing, he feels he is doing a service to the world by following her path.

Lightning Rods

While not entirely neccessary, Orion keeps a handful of lightning rods on him at all times. In a fight, they help him direct his electricty towards a target and help to make sure it doesn't come back towards him.

Hoarding all that ink has a purpose. It's rare to find a moment where Quinn isn't intently scrawling something into one of his various journals. You don't do that many magickal experiments if you don't intend to record your findings.

Pouches of Coins

The amount of Gold & Silver on his person at any given time is somewhat astounding -- but books and magickal reagents don't come cheap -- and neither does well tailored, enchanted clothing.

Star Charts

One would assume an actual map of Yveria would prove more useful. How Quinn can even decipher these is as much of a mystery as their purpose. Seems to be some kind of family secret.

Pack Goat

While more of a companion animal, this strange creature doesn't really do much other than carry Quinn's countless bags around and stare at you with an eerie sort of gaze.

Background

Prince & Scholar

Quinn was raised within Zvezda's upper ruling class, an heir within the Veczernya bloodline, known for an ancestry of legendary Oracles and Scholars, and among those to inherit the legacy of Zvezda's Grand University, the first learning institution of its kind built within Yveria. However, Quinn lost his parents at a young age while on a voyage across the sea, and was therefore raised by adoptive family, putting his status as an heir into question.

Not one to be bothered with the politics of the high council or any kind of inherited titles, Quinn instead devoted himself to the life of a scholar, feeling that to be the most important family legacy to uphold. This circumstance lead to Quinn having priviledged access to some of the most obscure and ancient knowledge within Yveria, as well as quite a bit of freedom to do what he pleased without anyone looking too closely.

The Celestial Weaver

While not a formal Acolyte, Quinn is a surprisingly devout follower of the Celestial Weaver in whatever form she happens to take. Although he is not particularly religious in the expected sense, he puts quite a lot of faith into her mysteries. This devotion isn't exactly secret, but it is definitely more of a personal experience than a communal one.

Still, he is always intent on deciphering the mysteries she has woven into the universe, and happy to impart that knoweldge onto others.
