Info/Lore

Satuver [Sat-oo-vuh] is the deity of stars, space and night. Satuver is one of the few deities that wasn’t created by The Goddess herself. While this lesser known deity doesn’t involve himself with Dragon Warrior kind much, he is believed to serve an important role. According to the Crystal types, Satuver mostly spends his time monitoring the progress of stars and planets and ensures the heavens are all in order. He apparently holds a similar attitude towards Elementra in letting things take their natural course, hence his lack of direct interaction, but it is believed he quietly redirects dangerous sized meteors that would otherwise strike the planet surface.

Devout followers of Satuver live in special observatories that double as monasteries, built within and atop of mountains, with impressive telescopes made from crystal. While ‘outsiders’ are not permitted to join these monastic orders, with permission they can stay in guest quarters and use the telescope – under strict supervision. It is uncertain why the order is so strict on this policy, but it is attributed to the naturally aloof natures of the Crystal types. While not all Crystal type cities are built conveniently under a mountain, shrines for Satuver are still constructed, and always feature an especially large chamber with a star map built into the ceiling – the ‘stars’ represented by glowing crystals. The ceilings are intricately crafted with magic, crystal and stone, and designed so the map sections can rotate as needed.

Legend has it that there are Dragon Warriors who have Satuver’s blessing, often referred to as ‘Satuver’s Children’. They are supposedly recognisable by a six-pointed star-marking on their face, said to be pale gold in colour. According to the legend, when standing under starlight their marking will glow, and their eyes will change to echo the heavens. However, there is little explanation for why such a ‘blessing’ would even exist, and what purpose a distant deity like Satuver would have with marking ‘chosen ones’, although there is a theory that in itself is the reason – to help him keep tabs on the planet in his absence.
