Dumortierite

Dumortierite is a Gem aligned to Homeworld and a General in Lavender Diamond's army.

Dumortierite wears a long-sleeved top with a V-neck the edges around have a thick black border and show the diamond emblem of Lavender Diamond. The Sleeves of the shirt are of a tan color and the top itself is cut in the middle by an upwards facing arrow in wild blue yonder, the half over it in dark sapphire blue and the bottom a ship cove color. He wears short puffy pants that are tan in color and knee-high boots with a pointy tip in the colors dark sapphire blue, black and tan soles. The hair is dark sapphire blue as well, curly and combed out of the face, reaching to the chin. Dumortierite's gem is located on his throat, he has full lips and his eyes are pointy at the end and give off a look of sternness. Surprisingly, his cheeks have cirle-like markings of a ship cove color on his wild blue yonder skin.

A Gem that likes to behave stoic but is often more passionate than wanting to admit. He takes great pride in his role as a General in the Gem army, making sure that everything runs smoothly and that new recruits are taught the ways to fight, overseeing everything needed. Taught the ways himself by what little information he had available of Yellow Diamond's Court, hoping to improve himself further each day and make his Diamond proud.

Dumortierite was one of the first Gems that Lavender Diamond created after her departure from Homeworld.

In the early days when it was only a few Gems overall he had time to hone his skills and become a good teacher later on to the other Gems. It is unknown when exactly he got his Pearl but it was a gift by Lavender Diamond as a thank you for his loyal service and help to grow the army to what it is today.

Dumortierite possesses standard Gem abilities.

  • He has some power over water and liquid material, though by far not to the degree of a Lapis Lazuli.
• Memory Projection

• Sledgehammer Proficiency
  • When channeling his resolve and thirst for battle through his gemstone he can summon a giant sledgehammer. Dumortierite is highly proficient when using his sledgehammer and is extremely skilled in close combat. He can deal massive strikes that can deal a heavy amount of damage and deliver swift blows with lightning speed.
  • Weapon Size Augmentation: Dumortierite can increase the size of his sledgehammer, easily quadrupling the size, and deal increased damage at the cost of reduced speed.
  • Shock Wave Emission: He can pound his sledgehammer into something and create a shockwave.

  • Dumortierite wields a Gem Destabilizer, an extremely potent but non-lethal tool used to subdue enemy Gems.

Dumortierite's Gem is located on his throat. It appears to be cut like an inverted pear cabochon.
