Backstory (Brief): 

(Spoilers for JSAB's Story Mode!)

After being purified at the Volcano by Square and the Large Triangle in the area, Lichen still held a bit of a grudge against Square. Even if they were the one to purify them, Square was also the reason why Lichen was corrupted with pink in the first place. Carrying this grudge and a smile, Lichen figured they would get back at Square in some playful fashion, also dragging along the Volcano's Triangle.
