ARCHANGEL

So Samuel has been doing the whole Guild thing for quite a while. Albeit admittedly not as an 'Adventurer', at least, not in the truest sense. He did go out on the field yes but... well, he was never really doing any of the true labour. His job was... informant, prop provider, the most support of the support. He couldn't really do much in the way of conflict because he had a bit of a limp, and he wasn't really in shape or battle-trained. He wasn't an adventurer really, and could barely class as even a sidekick. Still, his job was often super important when things were going right, and a group were heading in to the fray. Wheeen things were going wrong and people were having to run away or get out however, he didn't really have anything to contribute. Also he was kinda slow. When it came to abandon ship, it seemed rather unlikely that anyone was gonna actually wait for the fact-checker with a limp. That was, at least, til he was teamed with Gabriella. Gab was fantastic, the finest adventurer you could meet. She was strong, charismatic, a leader, and an inspiration. She was way too good for him in every way, and yet, rather inevitably, they were wed. Gab was the goddamn best. Unfortunately then things, as they most often do, went wrong. One mission went particularly awry, and they needed to make an escape. Gabriella, being a goddamn hero, did what she could to make sure Samuel could escape... and unfortunately cost herself her own life in the process. The rest of the party, seeing their fearless leader go down? Well, did pretty much what you'd expect. Saved themselves, and left Samuel to barely scrape his way out. Losing Gabriella was a blow - both to the Guild and to poor Samuel. It was noticed by most there that she was gone. It was noticed by... pretty much none there that he was gone too. Because he was self-aware that he'd been the problem. Gab was great and he was... Samuel. So what he needed to do... he needed to be better. So he began training up, buffing out, building and preparing. To live up to a legacy and to make her proud. Little Samuel isn't gonna lag behind anymore! Archangel is going to lead the charge! And be a goddamn hero! With his robot companion at his back, they can work together and see matters through!
