- Was part of a curse of strahd game that sadly got discontinued
- Survived about 8 sessions before revealing his true identity
Kass grew up as a valuable member of a thieves guild. With his unique skill set they made the perfect infiltrant, stealth killer. He trained his entire life, always taking on different faces and making it look like his own to the point where he never developed himself. His relationship with his caretakers is complicated and strained. Definitely a lot of trauma there.
Finally having reached the level of maturity and experience necessary, Kass started doing solo missions... one of which was cozying up to a local noble and then infiltrating said house with some other members of the guild.
Barovia treated him about as poorly as one might expect. Though Nova bonded quickly with his party, Kass never dared to drop the guise out of fear that his first ever friends wouldn't like the person he truly was. Kass also fell head over heels for Ireena, and tries desperately to live up to her standards of heroism. She makes him want to be a better person.
Throughout the story, Kass draws the attention of Doru, who ends up posessing the poor kid and making him feel unsafe even in his own head. The campaign ended on a terible night where Ireena was taken, and Kass was revealed for who he was.
͈Kass has never shown his face before. Not properly. Not to anyone who wasn't his father. He's insecure and scared and overwhelmed, but he wants to do the right thing. He wants for nothing more but to protect his friends and make Barovia a better place than how he found it. But a coward will always be a coward, no?
