Danny, or Eight, is an ex-Octarian soldier who escaped through the Deepsea Metro with help from Captain Cuttlefish and Off the Hook. He currently lives in Inkopolis, though he frequents Splatsville, where a good chunk of his friends now currently reside. He works with computers and programming, and will join Off the Hook on their tour trips as a roadie. He's pretty close to the two.

Danny is quiet and blunt. He's calm in most situations and rarely reacts, though he can be noticeably more sarcastic when in a sour mood. He's sweet and expresses his love in a quiet way, and all he wants now is a peaceful life on the surface.
