Cathe

Pronounced Kae-dh

Cathe, goddess of the red moon with domain over the souls of the dead.  

Appearance: 

Though her eyes are sharp, she has a soft rounder face and often wears a gentle expression. She was born from the desire for death to be a gentle end, and though she cannot control how people die, she does make sure that there can be peace afterwards. 

In Culture:

She seems almost motherly, and many depictions of her in art are akin to a Shepard guiding the lost so they may rest. In some parts of the world, her name is used to swear promises and she has come to be associated with truth and honesty in many ways. Between "The dead tell no lies" and "The only promise Cathe makes is death, and it's one she always keeps." swearing on Cathe's name is a common practice to show complete honesty and sincerity.
