Mahali was born to two members of a small pride, her father was named kishindo, and her mother was chama.
when mahali was born, her parents decided they wanted a better life for their daughter than just a small pride with no protection, so they moved to find a bigger pride. they joined a pride with a queen by the name of mozuri, a kind and wise lioness. chama became very friendly with two of the other lioness, who had cubs around the same age as her own. mahali grew up to become fast friends with the cubs, bhanu and addish, and soon, her parents had her younger brothers. mahali stays within the prides borders most of her life, but she is aware of the dangers the outside world holds. she does not personally experience these dangers until the queen is kidnapped and mahali is sent with her friends and a few others to find and rescue her. they meet friends and enemies along the way, and mahali meets a charming lioness who she ends up falling for named anaanda. mahali experiences tough decisions and pain like she never had before.

Anaanda
[Mate] Anaanda is mahali's mate. they met while mahali was on her journey to rescue the queen. she has an orange-brown pelt, with a lighter secondary pelt. she has no eye rims and has colored ears. she also has sapphire eyes and a peck nose, with brown-red ears and a brown tail tip.
Bhanu
[Best friend] Mahali's best friend since cubhood, bhanu is one of the biggest, most intimidating lions you will ever meet. he doesnt handle emotions very well, but once he admitted his feelings to his mate addish, he becomes much more open. he really is just a big softie, and he has multiple cubs with his mate and friend. bhanu is a character that belongs to Annumara.
Tamani
[ Daughter ] Tamani is mahali's oldest cub. Her biological father is bhanu, but she was adopted by anaanda as mahali's mate and second mother to the cubs. she has a lovely golden pelt, with freckles and ear rims from her mother, and red eyes and lighter ears from her father. she is crushed on by most of the male cubs, and they are almost always trying to impress her. while the femal ecubs wish they were as beautiful as her. despite being idolized by most of the pride, she is not as stuck-up as you would think, she's extremely sweet, and also very modest, she often doesnt like all of the attention her beauty brings her, and she prefers to just hang with her sister and best friends and the watering hole.
