Just normal modern day humans living their lives in the fictional city of Audeles. The country of Audeles?
In this afterlife, some people are reincarnated as horses. After their death they wash up on the shores of the island of Audeles in a new horse body and have to learn how to live their second life on four hooves.
There are also horses who have always been horses, and are either born on the island or end up there the same way the humans do.

Maia is her aunt's girlfriend, and she adores her. It's with Maia that she's at her bravest.

Appearance
- Änri is not a very pretty horse. Some of it could be that she just hasn't yet grown into her body, but she's very downhill, slightly swaybacked and lacks muscle. She has a thick winter coat through most of the year and a long beard. Her lower lip is always droopy.

She is bay and minimal expression splashed white - a wide blaze and socks on her hindlegs. The hooves are darker and greyer on the legs without socks.
Her mane and tail hair is sunbleached, and she has stripes on her frontlegs. Her left eye is blue, right one is brown.
