Spruce came from a natural couple, while many irkens are cloned and mass produced, Spruce had a mother and father. She was born on a thickly forested planet where citizens of the Irken Empire are employed as lumberjacks. Isolated away from the strict rules of their empire and alone in their homemade cabin, the small family went unknown and unnoticed. Spruce was able to become a lumberjack just like her parents in her early teens. She loved the woods more than anything and never imagined living anywhere else. it was during her teenage years when she met Zen, the calm and kind irkn who seemed to live and breathe peace. He had lived in the irken empire for his whole life, but was greatly disturbed by their actions, so he faked his own death and retreated to the forest shrouded planet Spruce called her home. She would meet him for only glimpses at a time as she worked, but soon grew closer to him and ran into him more. It wasn't long until they barely ever leaft each other's sides. They had become inseperable friends. Or, maybe even a bit more
