This creature appears at random intervals throughout recorded history. It is thought to have come from a plane of existence far different from ours. It can rearrange its body to mimic the shape and function of any object as long it has been exposed to it, though the success rate of shape shifting into a particular object differs due to its limited flexibility. Its specific objective is unclear, but it seems to be the complete eradication of humanity. Fortunately, because of its tendency to vanish 102 seconds after its appearance, it does not pose any lasting harm.
Abilities
PRION is shown to have many abilities which makes capturing it a virtually impossible task.
SHAPESHIFTING: PRION can modify and rearrange its body parts to take the form and function of many objects. Examples include a bottle opener, a sharpener, a photocopier, a tree, and a DSR-50 .50 cal Sniper Rifle. It is noted that PRION can only shift into certain objects upon coming into contact with them in a 7m radius. For this reason, PRION should never be near any nuclear weapons due to its objective.
When PRION first appears or is attacked, it takes the shape of a single black square. This shape does not change despite being viewed from different angles. It absorbs up to 99% of visible light, giving the square an impression of being a completely black void. The square often varies in size, the smallest recorded being 5cm x 5cm and the largest being 50m x 50m.
TELEPORTATION: Once PRION appears, it can only exist in the vicinity for 102 seconds (1.7 minutes) before vanishing for another few years. PRION has also shown instances of teleportation when it was assaulted by a bystander who was on site when it made its appearance. Due to its unpredictability, PRION has shown to be extremely hard to contain.
SPEED: PRION travels at a maximum speed of 8000km/hr, or at Mach 6.7. Surpassing the speed of the world’s fastest aircraft, PRION can outrun all pursuers in a matter of seconds. The sonic boom that results from its sudden bursts of speed can also be utilised as a weapon, causing splitting headaches and severe damage to eardrums.
INVINCIBILITY: Bullets have no effect on PRION, but the creature does show an adverse reaction to rice.
DISASTERS: PRION can cause natural disasters and catastrophes so long as it is present. Some tsunamis, earthquakes, and pandemics have been used by PRION to devastating effect. However, due to PRION’s short appearance time of 1.7 minutes, the disasters often come and go with few lasting impacts.
