The MC of a webcomic I tried to write. I will probably revive the story somewhere else:

Hundreds of years in the future, humans have perfected space travel, contacted distant life, colonized planets outside of our solar system, created setient AIs-and ordered the mass genocide of said AIs, claiming their existance was unethical. Tanja is an Interplanetary Law Enforcer, or “space cop,” who is patrolling the universe a decade after the genocide of AIs. Tanja received a distress call from a crashed cargo ship. The man in the suit claimed that the crew were injured and low on rations. Tanja boarded the ship to see that the crew had been dead for 15 years and the only surviving member was a navigation AI named Ian who migrated to an old space suit. After having a cool fun adventure with Ian where they took out some drug smugglers, she decided to go against the law save Ian’s life and he became her secret ride-along.
