In the urban metropolis of Nine Rings, there are whispers about the untouchable left-hand of the archdevil, Saccharine.

Born unable to touch or be touched, Karno had killed his mother during childbirth due to the strong fiend blood in his ancestry. His body had always been incomprehensibly hot from the hellfire emanating from him ever since he was a mere infant. Originally, Karno was under the wing of Zara, the archdevil of the Frostmire Dungeon, but was betrayed by her and left for dead when she had thought Karno was becoming too powerful-- powerful enough to climb the ranks and become an archdevil. Soon, Karno was found by and nursed back to health by Saccharine who he later discovered to be one of few other archdevils.

Despite his intimidating demeanor and large form, Karno is actually quite an easygoing fellow that a lot of the infernals under Saccharine's wing look up to due to his maturity and sharp wit.
