Orphis is a Maskcatz with a broken mask, which was fixed using the Kintsukuroi technique. He was found as a broken doll by a man who gave his daughter the doll as a gift. That man later became the king of pirates, making his family a target. A few years after the King rose to power his family on shore was attacked. With the love poured into Orphis by the little girl over the years as her favorite doll, he regained consciousness, and when her life was threatened he gain his ability to fight. He grew to his humanoid form and used powers long forgotten to protect her. Afterward, he returned to the stuffed animal form were he stayed, exausted in the girl's arms. The girl was rescued moments later by her fauther's crew, however it was too late for her mother. The king brought his daughter aboard his ship to keep her safe and taught her the ways of a pirate. As she grew up Orphis revealed himself to only the princess, and for a while it made her father grow mad. He thought the experience she had, tormented her enough to make an imaginary friend at first, but then as he walked by her room he would hear a second voice, a deeper and more manly voice.

While Orphis could not remember who he was it was like his body could remember the movements and skills. He helped the princess learn sword fighting, knife play, and hand to hand combat. The bow, bell and his name all came from her so she became his life. When she became a teen he would follow her around as a cat. Very few recognized the fact that the cat looked similar to the stuffed cat she used to carry around. It was a peacefull life for the most part, well, but for the hunting. The contenents started to crack down on pirating after years and eventually caught on to the king's tracks. Their ship was ambushed on a stormy day by an armoda of ships. While the king's ship took on the brunt of the attack he forced his daughter onto another captin's ship so she could escape. As they made their escape ships of the armoda where sent after her. It got so bad that Orphis ended up revealing himself to the crew to protect her. However during the fight she was ingered and as Orphis went to help her he was knocked off the ship. Sinking in the deep water made him loose himself in the abyss.

Into the Abyss (Maskcatz world)

He woke next on the shore of the Maskcatz home continent. He was found by a serfing maskcatz named Kaiyo. They became friends while he stayed trying to get a boat strong enough to go find the princess. When he finally did gather enough money to get a ship strong enough to sail the sea, it had been five years and no matter how far he sailed he always ended up back on the continent.He wandered for a bit across the land until his friend brought him back. He lives at the port, visiting his new friends and doing research to find a way back to the princess, or at least to find out what happened to her. After finally settling down, dark clouds grow over the continent and maskatz begin vanishing, the once lavish and livily plaza became a desolent land. Even the gardens started to wither without the sun that hadn't shown in years now. What kind of curse was this, and why was it always destroying his peace?
