When Brad was alive he made electronic music and studied to become a nurse. He was never truly born, being of an alien race made it so that he was basically dropped off fully formed at 18 to live his life. One year before his death he met Maddie, a mostly reserved trans rights activist doing a normal 9-5. He'd seen her attending a concert at a local venue and was drawn into talking to her. While alive, Maddie did not have pink skin, but she sure did have bright purple hair! She was one of the most interesting people Brad had ever met. They kept in contact after that and began to hang out a lot more.

After knowing eachother for about 9 months Maddie moved in with him into his two bedroom apartment near her place of employment in order to get out of her family home. Maddie's parents were extremely supportive but she did not like all of the pressure when it came to "fitting in" as a cis passing trans woman. They'd lived together for about 4-5 months before the nuclear reactor fired off, killing Brad and virtually also killing Maddie (albeit slower). After death Brad's apparence shifted from "britrock irl" to "mohawk skeleton". Even though it may look like he is fully skeleton, only the top half of his body is! He still has skin covered legs and hips. Brad's alien species naturally has green bones! They are calcium and uranium based which is what gives him a slight glow and green seeming bones. He is technically immmune to radiation since he himself is radioactive. He was at the hospital near the reactor doing coursework when the explosion went off. The blast is what killed him, not the radiation.
