Captain Sterling

Captain Dorian Sterling, is the captain of the SS Spacetrotter. He leads voyages and expeditions to unknown planets and space wormholes to study the surrounding flora and fauna. His crew is privately funded (though the captain has an inkling on who it could be, he'd rather not search too deep into it for the safety of his crew). Sterling was once an Yvgaruk (a sub race of space elf) that got lost in space. It's unsure for how long he has been lost but he was brought into safety by the hands of Canis Major. Those who are lost and found by the hands of the stars are called star-touched and thus, he was blessed with a second chance from the constellation. He ended up in Terra in which he learnt how most of his people have long gone and he has been "asleep" for over a few centuries. He joined an expedition crew and since then was able to make his own, hoping he could find any traces of his own people somewhere in the vast stars.

Those who are star-touched are highly respected. They'd have the perks and flaws of one of their own race but with an additional perk from the stars. The general star-touched perk includes being able to freely travel the void of space with no need for bretahers, harness a small amount of star power (works better when implemented with a conductor i.e: wands/space guns/pencils/etc.), and glowing markings/hair. Depending on which constellation one is star-touched, it also effects their skill. Sterling was blessed by the constellation Canis Major and thus is capable of turning into a star wolf (basically he's a werewolf of sorts.)

The appearance of those star-touched changes as well. Usually star constellations markings are scattered all over the body, and one's hair would turn a radiant glow; either in gold, silver or an opalescent colour. Eyes have star pupils instead. In Sterling's case, a normal Yvgaruk would come in many warm skin tones, and coloured irises. Sterling's whole colour scheme is now more warm gold and has stars all over him. The Canis Major constellation decorates his back and his pupils are shaped like a star.

Personality-wise, Sterling is a charming captain, able to take responsibility for his and his crew's actions. He has a high sense of moral and tries his best to do what's good. However, due to him being last of his people, he feels lonely and will insert himself within as many groups of people as possible (sometimes more than just hanging out) in hopes that he wouldn't feel so left out. He finds the most comfort with those he is close to.
