Corrupt authority caused him to be thrown down to Earth. In the fall, his wings burned up, staining his hair and skin black. He tried to expose the nasty parts of the other angels, but all he got in return was his status being revoked and broken wings. He's definitely bitter over that, maybe one day he'll take revenge. In the meantime, he'll play nice.

He lands in the backyard of a suburban house, causing the plants around him to bloom. The night owl hears the crash in the late evening and slides open the glass door.
