Nanami and Minori met at Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College since they were classmates. Minori fell for him almost inmediately due to his good looks and intelligence, and wanted to be closer with him, as well as with Haibara, since she thought making friends is important. Knowing him better, Minori found how nice and kind he was beneath his tough and blunt exterior, something that make her love him even more day by day, at the point that her crush on him was evident to everyone around, except for Nanami itself. During their second year, Nanami confessed to Minori in the most nonchalant form possible, something that confused Minori greatly. She couldn't believe that someone as good as him would fall for her, so she asked him if he was serious or joking. Then, Nanami said he was serious. Minori blused and ran away, totally overwhelmed by her emotions at that time. Later, she realized that the way she reacted could be misunderstood but when she tried to answer him properly, they and Haibara were sent to a mission. The mission ended with Haibara's death, someting that affected both Nanami and Minori, so they both distanced themselves for the other even without realizing. After graduation, Nanami left the sorcerers worlds, while Minori stayed.

Years later, Gojo sent Minori to a mission with a partner but he didn't revealed her who was them. Then, she found Nanami, who had just returned to being a sorcerer. Minori couldn't believe it, and was very happy about being able to see him again. However, he seemed a bit distant with her and even more reserved than in the past, something that made her a bit sad. Still, she was happy that he was at her side, so it was all that matters. They worked well as a team, so usually were paired up in missions.
One time, during a mission, Minori got injured while trying to protect him without thinking much about the consequences, something that made Nanami annoyed, and, when she was better, he lectured her about her carefree behavior and how he could have avoid the blow without anyone getting hurt. Minori replied that she wasn't thinking straight at the moment since she only wanted to protect the person she loves, something that surprised Nanami. After a moment of silent, he asked if she was serious, and she said that she was, and that she had always been in love with him, but never got the opportunity to either confess or at least answering properly at his confession, and apologized. Nanami replied with a kiss.
Since then, they started a relationship in secret, since Nanami didn't want to mix work with personal life and, especially, because he knew Gojo knowing that would be a pain. However, a few people found out for different circumstances, like Ijichi or Ino.
They started living together a few time later, too.

In 2018, Gojo contacted Nanami to take care of Itadori while he's away. Although at first Itadori and Nanami didn't seem to click, being Minori the peacemaker and telling the young boy that the sorcerer meant well. They didn't expect to encounter a Special Grade Curse Spirit like Mahito, so they decided to go against him without Itadori, since, after all, he was only a kid. However, the fight in the sewers ended with Nanami injured. Minori felt a bit guilty about it since he received the blow that was sent for her, and thought that Nanami was angry at her since he decided to go alone the next day while asked Minori and Ino to fight the transfigured humans of the sewers.
That same day, she let Nanami and Itadori space to have a little talk about the events of that day. After it, Nanami reunited with her, and she apologized to him, even though he didn't think that there was anything to apologize for. Minori was very grateful to Itadori because she knew that if Nanami was there now was thanks to him.
The 31st of October, Nanami and Minori were at the Shibuya station with Ino and Fushiguro and, after knowing what happened to Gojo, decided to go meet up with Ijichi while Itadori, Fushiguro, and Ino deal with the screen. When they found Ijichi, he was injured, and both of them felt pain due to the memories of what happened to Haibara. Still, they hold themselves together and treated him as well as they could, using Minori her first aid kit and her jacket as tourniquet. Later, they find the responsable and while Nanami and Kugisaki fought him, Minori went to help an injured Nitta. After that, Nanami told them that this fight was getting dangerous and it was work for the Grade 1 sorcerers, something that saddened Minori, since that meant she had to be behind.
Some time later, when Nanami is at death's door after being attacked by Jogo, he thinks about Minori. In other place, Minori decided to rejoin the battle with Kugisaki and they found Mahito and fight against him. When they found out he was just a clone, Minori decided to let it be, but Kugisaki chased him, ended up meeting the actual Mahito who injured her. When Minori, with Todo and Arata, arrived there, Minori blamed herself since she was who instigated Kugisaki to go into battle. Later, Itadori revealed to them what happened to Nanami, and Minori did her best to smile to him and reassure him, even if she was feeling devastated after the lost of her loved one, and feeling guilty because she never got to tell him about the baby she was expecting.

AU in which nobody died during the Shibuya incident and everyone is happy.
After Jogo's attack, Nanami end seriously injured, so he had to spent some time in the hospital. Minori is grateful that he's alive and waiting for him to be at home with her. She spent those months taking care of him as well as wondering how she should tell him that she's pregnant, since she found out before the Shibuya incident but didn't find a proper moment then. Itadori ended up being the first one who found out about this due to a Minori's slip of the tongue, and was so happy for them. When she finally could tell Nanami, he felt very happy and kissed her.
Since then, Minori started working as a teacher at Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College since that would mean being in less missions, since they were worried about the baby's well being due to their dangerous job. Eventually, they told everyone around them that they were in a relationship, being the last one to know Gojo, who reacted as a offended child. Nanami and Minori organized a little wedding ceremony with their closest friends before Minori's belly was too much noticeable. Minori said that she wouldn't adopt Nanami's surname and keep hers since that way Itadori could keep calling her "Minorin". Nanami found it quite cute and laughed at it.
Months later, Minori gave birth to Mizuki A few year later, they would have a second daughter, Mihiro..
