Shinkai, Mae

The reliable teacher of UA High and the mother figure to all. Her quirk is Sensory and she strives to have Aizawa view her as a proper woman and not as a mother figure.

Personality: Mae has developed a motherly personality, always wanting the best for others and making sure those around her stay on track. This stems from the fact that her mother is always out on her job as a support at hero agencies and Mae, being the oldest of 3, had to take care of her younger siblings.
She's reliable and gives good advice. She consistently encourages her students to use their quirks for good and explains how they each can use their quirks.

"Even if you aren't in the hero course, without you guys, heroes are nothing."

Teachers and other students have also gone to her for advice on multiple subjects. She's gained a reputation at UA High as the "Mother of UA".

Mae carries a vibe with her that calms most people. The air around her is always welcoming.

The only time she will ever get mad is on the battlefield, against a villain, especially if they hurt her own student. She doesn't let her own feelings get in her way, but she certainly won't be keeping a straight face in battle either.

Back Story: Mae is a pro-hero who works behind the scenes. Back at her peak days (before settling for a job near home), she worked with other pro-heroes. Her quirk works best with others, although that's not to say she hasn't worked alone.

Her sensory quirk comes from her mother's side of the family, who are also in the pro-hero business. They all use their abilities to track villains. 

The reason why she decided to settle down so quickly and work as a teacher is because of an encounter she had where she met a young child who cried about being unable to be a hero and was told to be a support. Mae, at the time, didn't understand the child's woes before realizing that heroes were given more of the limelight than supports were. Mae eventually showed the child the wonders of being a support and wanted to continue to nurture that feeling and show others that supports were just as cool as heroes. 

Ongoing Story: Mae tries her best to get Aizawa to see her as a woman, and not simply as a mother figure. She can't help but use her motherly instincts on Aizawa and attempt to take care of him.

When the two first met, it was as teachers and although they both teach different departments, Mae found Aizawa interesting, and even attempted to give him advice on teaching his students, having Toshinori and Hizashi there to convince him as well.

Mae also gets involved with Aimi and her twin brother, Niou, who attempts to hit on her despite the age difference.
