Lavender Diamond is a Homeworld Gem and a member of the Great Diamond Authority that rules over the Gem race. She does not visits homeworld anymore however as she is further out to find more suitable colonies. She reigns with an iron fist over her court, cold and serious though not always as close-minded as one would think. As she saw herself abandoned by the Diamond Authority she created her own one through unknown means. Besides the gems that came with her from homeworld no one is aware of there being another Diamond Authority.

It is known that she owns 1 star system, 10 planetary bodies and 5 moons.

As one of the rulers of Homeworld, Lavender Diamond has a massive size, with her towering height making her own Pearl appear tiny in comparison. She has a sharp, pointy nose, plump lips, sharp nails and long, thick eyelashes. Her eyes are French lilac in color with diamond-shaped pupils and her scleras are black. Lavender's hair is thick and wild, reaching almost to the floor.

The outfit she wears consists of a long-sleeved croptop with a deep V-cut on both sides, leggins with a V-cut and diamond-shaped cut-outs at the knees as well as cut-outs at the toes. Both clothes have a melrose middle and pale plum side. She wears several layers or sheer fabric with a scalloped end giving the appearance of a skirt. A big cape is most times draped around her. Similar to a coachman's coat it has a short upper layer whose ends at the shoulder are pointed outwards, the collar hiding most of her face and the cape is hold together by a button as well as two buttons and a chain in a second row underneath the first one.

Serious and cold, a Diamond like most who rarely shows weakness nor feelings overall, hiding everything behind a stern expression. However, she can be less cruel than the other Diamond's at times, one way of showing this is despite threatening to shatter gems she actually never had done or ordered it in the end.

As a Diamond, she sees herself above other gems. She barely consideres other gems opinions as important, disliking when they think for their own outside of waht they were ordered to do. Like Yellow Diamond she wants others to cut to the chase and not talk around things for too long and get things over with, loathing it for things to get dragged out unnecessarily. However, Lavender Diamond appears to show respect to higher classed gems that do their job well as well as her own pearl.

Nothing much is known about Lavender Diamond's past. She was born before Pink Diamond and quickly send away to find new colonies far away and secure Homeworld more resources.

Lavender Diamond had over time amassed a great amount of respect, colonies, and Gems similar to Yellow Diamond, trying her best to serve Homeworld and secure it's survival, sending back many ships with resources as well as Gems. She never returned though, still out there to go even further, having built a sanctuary of her own far away on the moon of an unknown planet.

After pink Diamond came to be she was completely forgotten, the line to homeword cut off from her. As she grew more and more bitter at some point she had also stopped sending back resources and Gems. It is currently unknown when exactly Charcoal Diamond came to be or how but Lavender Diamond grew more soft around her at least, feeling less lonely.

Lavender Diamond possesses standard Gem abilities, but since she is a Diamond, her abilities are expected to be much greater than other Gems'. As a Diamond, she is one of the most powerful Gems in existence, possessing standard Gem abilities including Fusion, bubbling, shapeshifting, superhuman strength and durability.
