marlamain is a socially awkward unofficial intern at the Sycozia's Missing person' department, He was picked up for his certain mystical abilities of finding things that never showed up. Because of their cult background they find it very hard to fit into society's norm and understand social cues, despite these struggles they are a sweet guy who wants to change Faer reputation as The Seer. When he was born, Marl came out an abhorrent that was casted away by his parents for having "large and unforgiving eyes", they got adopted by the Akonir cult in the catacombs and got succesfully infected by the touch of the Akonir, he was then worshipped as a diety throughout their child and teenhood.

He spent his freetime perfecting avae magic unlike their adoptive sister, Jewl, who hasn’t been able to produce any, proving to be a disappoint to her mother, Circe, the head priestess of the cult. Marl tried his best to cheer her up before one day she disappeared. Circe told Marl that she ran away from home when in reality, she died from overexertion and Circe took her corpse into a cellar and drained all her avae blood, secretly feeding it to marl as a “serum” to improve their skills. One day when he was practicing speaking to the fallen, he came in contact with Jewl’s vacant ghost. Shocked and creeped out, he tried to defy his religion by removing the golden jewelry but was unable to as it merged with his skin. Marl coming to terms of his upbringing, his supposed family, the cult's true intentions, of Jewl’s death and serum, Marl had a full on mental breakdown leaving their weak mind open for the Akonir parasite to infest his brain. The brainwashed Marl was then lead to feast on every cultist that got in his way, escape out of the underworld and moved to the outskirts of Falou in the Darpique Forest, so he can live his own life and be his own person. The irony being that he'd be used again for his seer abilities to find the missing people of Sycozia, unaware that those mangled bodies may be his doing.
