About

Lee Huang, simply put, is an enigma.

She is always cool, calm, and collected, and has a certain aura of smugness to her. She's very social and outgoing, and has no trouble striking up a conversation with a stranger and making a new friend. She's always willing to lend a helping hand when needed, and is known to be quite generous with gifts and wealth. She is exceedingly smart, with seemingly endless knowledge on any given subject; despite this, she is always eager to learn more. Lee will always jump at an opportunity to try something new, no matter how weird, unconventional, and/or dangerous it is. As such, she has wide array of skills and talents, and a neverending list of stories to tell.

In a world where humans have superpowers due to an extreme amount of radiation in their bodies and the environment, Lee is an incredibly powerful telekinetic; perhaps the most powerful on the planet. Her telekinesis has been honed over many, many years of life, though she simply claims to be a prodigy, or some other excuse. She doesn't typically tell people that she is over 1000 years old.

Lee is generally charming and kind, but she is also willing to do whatever she needs to do to get what she wants. She will pull strings behind the scenes, call on owed debts and personal favors, and bribe or even threaten whoever she needs to to get what she wants (though what she usually wants is something to benefit her friends). She will also dig into the private personal information and records of her friends and loved ones (without their knowledge or consent) to use as she sees fit. She believes that she knows what is best for the people around her, and as such is justified in violating their privacy. She is also known to give very expensive and lavish gifts, even to near strangers, which has made people very uncomfortable in the past. She is fully aware of this, and gets a kick out of their reactions.

Backstory

Lee was born somewhere in China, some time in the 400s. At least, she thinks she was; she has no records from that time, and her memory fails her when she tries to recall her earliest years. She has a hard time recalling specific details from her past, and relies on old records, documents, and photos from throughout her life to remind her of her past. What she does recall (somehow, in vivid detail) is that when she was young and dumb, she dabbled in radioactive drugs that heavily altered her genetic makeup and aging process, moreso than the natural high amount of radiation in the environment could ever do. Since that time, she believes she has only physically aged about 5 years, but she can't be sure.

Since then, Lee has used her many years of life to live countless lifetimes all around the world. She's met every kind of person imaginable, and had countless enemies, friends, and lovers, but all of her relationships always end in heartbreak. She always ends up outliving her peers, or leaving them behind. She never stays in one place for more than 20 years (people start to get suspicious, after all), and she is always eager to find the next new thing to involve herself with. She's visited every country, witnessed mankind's highest achievements, and experienced the worst things humanity has to offer; however, she's convinced that she hasn't yet reached the limit of the human experience. Her current life as Lee Huang is just a mere blip on the timeline of her existence.

Current Day

In the present, Lee runs a small bookstore right next to a college campus, and caters to the student population. She runs the store to have something to do while she's in a sort of "transitional " period, trying to decide where she'll go and what she'll do next. On the side, she takes superhero jobs to keep up appearances and earn easy money. She's decently popular due to her kind nature, her willingness to aid those in need, and her extraordinary telekinetic ability. She is known to make easy work of supervillains who terrorize the city. It is at her store that she meets her new best friend and love interest, Nathan. He then introduces her to his friends, which includes his twin sister Delilah, her girlfriend Nozomi, and their friend Chet. Lee easily integrates into the friend group and lives a seemingly normal life, and enjoys spending time with her new friends and becoming closer to Nathan. However, everything will soon change due to the arrival of extraterrestrial life in the city.

Fun Factoids

• Lee's "real name" is a mystery, even to herself. She forgot what it was ages ago.
• Currently, she claims to be 27 years old.
• She has ADHD.
• Lee is gender nonconforming; she enjoys dressing in "masculine" fashion, doesn't bother shaving, and is flat chested; she made the decision to get top surgery around 50 years ago.
• Lee calls everyone, regardless of age, gender, or status, "dear." It's gotten her into trouble before.
• Telekinetics typically use their hands to guide and control their power; Lee only needs to use her eyes.
• Lee's telekinesis is possibly the most powerful on the planet. She is skilled using it both offensively and defensively (such as hurling a car, or using it as a forcefield to catch a projectile), and uses it in day to day life as well (such as picking herself up, essentially allowing her to fly, which is considered highly advanced telekinesis.) This only scratches the surface of her abilities.
• She can also pop someone's head like a balloon, swiftly rip all of their skin off of their body, or pull their internal organs out through their ass. She hasn't actually done any of those things, but she has threatened people with them before.
• Despite not being afraid to make threats, she would never intentionally harm another living creature if she could help it; she just enjoys getting what she wants and doing whatever she needs to do to achieve that.
• Lee is a polyglot; she currently speaks Mandarin, English, Italian, Greek, and Esperanto the best, and understands many more.
• She only learned English relatively recently, and speaks with an Australian accent.
• She is particularly fascinated with the advancement of technology, and enjoys dismantling machines and appliances to learn how they work, just to put them back together again.
• She conducts her own research, and has been published under many names throughout her lifetime.
• Lee frequently enrolls herself into university classes to refresh her memory and keep up to date with new discoveries.
• Lee has been through both medical and law school no less than 4 times each.
• She is "suspiciously wealthy."
• She has multiple storage units all over the world where she stores memorabilia from her past lives.
• No matter where she lives, she has a chest of drawers full of pictures and memories of herself and people she's known, including her "family." She gets very angry if anybody gets too close to it.
• While she does not obnoxiously flaunt her wealth, she does enjoy living a lavish lifestyle; she currently lives in a penthouse, drives a luxury car, and always has the latest gadgets and technology the second they come out.
• On the off chance that someone recognizes her, she insists that they knew her late mother, not her.
• Lee needs absolute peace and quiet to sleep.
• She cannot function without her cup of coffee in the morning. Her morning routine consists of listening to the news on the radio while drinking coffee loaded with sugar and cream. If you try to talk to her before she's had her coffee, she'll ignore you.
• She has an extensive history of drug abuse, and is prone to relapse when she's stressed.
• Her sense of time is incredibly skewed. If she's alone, she can easily spend weeks at a time cooped up in her home and barely notice the passage of time. However, this also means she will go weeks without a shower, and end up half-starved and dehydrated, as she doesn't eat or drink as often as she needs to.
• She refuses to cry in front of other people.
• She claims to be extremely difficult to kill, and prides herself on this.
