Stoic and stern faced, not even her own daughter understands how she thinks. Unreadable and mysterious, Calliope seems to think many steps ahead of others but never seems to intervene, preferring to wait silently. She is wise and offers her advice to few- once paranoid but now has learned to live peacefully due to her accomodations.

Nothing is known about Calliope's past- she was quite ordinary and was one of many hygeinic janitors in the Palace of Adala. She had a scandalous relationship with an unknown man, rumored to be Peyton Eina and could not manage to work with a child- Athena. Gaining the attention of a fellow single mother with the result of a bastard child, Yeongwon hired Calliope to be the wet nurse of Yeowon. She was allowed to live in the Jae Hwa Palace in the Seung District and helped to raise Yeowon. As they grew up, Calliope was rather detached from them but was still somewhat proud of their progress. Now lives in the Palace of Adala without any particular job.
