The one cursed by the spirit


Nickname:  Ray, but ONLY to those close to him.

Age:   Adult

Species:   Wildling Unicorn

Clan:   Tarandus/Hylochoden  (I believe he was a hybrid?  I'll fix this later if not)

Occupation:    He travels quite a lot and rarely stays in one place for too long; so that he is not bothering others. He has no true "job" really, though he could act the part of guide or mercenary/bodyguard if he so wished...though this is also very rare.

Likes:      Snow, absolutely loves snow. Why? Because his fur is difficult to keep short on his torso and head so the cool air keeps his temperatures regulated when he can't get it trimmed. He also really does love the flowers and plant life below the cold mountains but sadly cant visit them often until he has something to trade for a real good fur trim.
He also enjoys spicy foods and hearty stews, warm stuff to eat as a whole really!
Loves sleeping under trees, cloud and star gazing, and sparring when bored IF he finds someone that isn't spooked by him which is unfortunately rare.

Dislikes:     Meeting people. Not cuz he doesn't want to! He does, he really does! But because of his curse, he's unfortunately seen as some kind of monster or something to run away from as the horns and thickness of his fur makes him look a bit beastly.  He isn't a bad guy, though he can be grumpy at times for his own reasons. Wishes people would look past his curse and see him for what he really is. 

Personality:    Oddly soft spoken, or simply chooses not to speak when confronted. His voice is deep and probably makes him all the more intimidating on first glance, but he's actually a rather gentle guy when treated with the respect one would give anyone else. Respect is key here, if you show any sign of disrespect he is likely to act more brutish or ignorant toward you.  (Think of him like the harry potter hippogriff with the respect thing, you respect him he'll respect you).

Other:   His horns and overgrown fur are the works of a "spirit curse",  he finds it difficult to keep his mane out of his face and sometimes seeks help in doing so. Often prefers it clipped and swept backward in a fluffed out style down the back of his neck and head, though whom he talks to to have this done is unknown. The horns make him look awful intimidating paired with his large fangs, though, he may not be so scary after all.



Other Other:    Many wildling talk about how he became cursed, but many stories are just rumors and story telling. Some say perhaps he murdered many during his current or even a past life. Others say that perhaps the spirit was mad at him for something else. But no one truly knows the reason for his curse.  Only one piece of all the stories is true; when bothered TOO much, he CAN become rather violent and loses control over what he says or does soon after, much like a berserker would. He doesn't mean to do this, but it is unfortunately a hurdle in his life he must one day overcome. He is stand offish and doesn't speak too often to others due to the strange looks he gets or even past bullying over his oddities. 

He is also extremely territorial. If he does not like you or if you are encroaching on his space without his permission to join him, he WILL get visually angry and will stand his ground, even if he has to fight for the space.

Paired with:   He hangs around Mina and her rogue clan fairly often but it is not clear whether the two are really together or just enjoy each others company...or any other reason for that matter. Mostly due to the fact he does not make any of this information clear and his general body language does not show that of a 'affectionate' manner toward ANYONE really. He seems to tolerate her rather well compared to some however.

Note that his horns and wayyyy overgrown hair is a 'spirit curse'.  

While the hair CAN be drawn out of his face in circumstances (though it grows back horribly fast), his horns are not optional.

What his face looks like when his hair/mane has been trimmed or styled every so often by another wildling. 
Though it does not last long, it is nice to see his eyes once in a while for some.
