There are some known records that are believed to be what Rys is but none of them are actually or fully true. Rys is part of a demonic species that take many forms, some are reborn as humans, others are born as animals. When they’re reincarnated, they have no memory of their past lives unless their minds have been tampered with. The way and environment they’re raised in can change their personality and behavior. In past lives they could have been a murder or a hero. It all depends on who raised them. Their minds aren’t as strong within their first year of living meaning that even something so small could change them. Headaches can be frequent depending on what they’re thinking about; if it’s anything about what they are, it can trigger something in their minds to snap. His whole species have existed since the beginning of time. Some stories say that everyone was the same, but over time, many lost their abilities and became mortal. Once mortal, they cannot regain their abilities nor will they ever be able to again. They’re extremely quick learners in the language and fighting skills department.

Abilities

He heals rather quickly but not as normal as a healing potion would be. If there is a deep wound, there will be a black and gray like scar. If it was a limb or any other part of his body that was removed, it would bleed for a moment until the replacement grows back which, depending on what was cut off and how much was cut off, the time for it to regrow would vary. Once it has regrown, it comes back with a more demonic appearance. He uses his saliva to heal his own wounds; It’s the only possible way for his wounds to heal. He can only heal others in the same way but only when he’s in his beast form. On others, if would feel like acid was being poured onto the wound. The only wound he cannot heal or heal from is obviously from beheading. After maturity, once he learns more about his abilities, he can change his appearance age wise from anything of a small child to a full grown adult.

His weight provides for most of his strength but his only choice of weaponry are his claws and teeth. His claws in his beast form are razor sharp and sometimes he accidentally cuts himself if he gets an itch. In his human form he's close to defenseless but will growl and bite at his enemy.

Appearance

He stands as tall as 5’4 once he’s close to hitting maturity. Without a haircut, his grayish silver hair reaches just past his shoulder blades. As a child, he would have dark brownish black eyes. Once he’s matured, his eyes turn to a light blue in both of his forms. Even though he appears to be human, he still has his ears and tail, something he still hasn't learn to hide completely.

Maturity

The rate he matures depends on how much affection and attention he’s been given. It can be slow or extremely fast. If he grows to fast, he can be painful. One of the main signs of maturity is a tattoo like marking that appears somewhere on their bodies. Rys's marking is Canis Minor Little Dog which is visible on his right arm near his shoulder. The same marking will appear on his fur. Another sign may come before the marking and that is when he changes form for the first time.

Protective Mode

When he senses danger or his owner is in danger of any kind while he’s still in his human form, he changes back into a dog and then grows up to 5 ft on all four legs. His fur changes from it’s white and dark gray to black and dark gray (White => dark gray/Dark grey =>black). If he has his marking already, it would appear as a crimson red instead of black.
Profile
Rys was born homeless in an alley way with his mother. Being born during the fall, he only had a little time to adjust to the quickly changing weather. His breed as a husky proved useful for this adaptation, but after his mother left one morning to get him some breakfast, she never came back. He sat there in the cardboard box wrapped in an old red blanket that was covered in holes, he waited for her to come back. At night, he would whimper and call out for her with no response. After a few days, he left the safety of the box and walked around trying to find her with no success. The only thing he managed to find were some chiefs that gave him warm milk and then some leftover food from breakfast. Filling his small stomach he went back to searching before becoming tired and going back to the box. For weeks he did this with no success in finding his mother.
At one point he had found a home but was quickly thrown out the next day by the girl’s father. He was forced back to living in the box, his red blanket still there. A few days later, he was found by Kali and was raised there.
Past Lives: Rys has been born multiple times. His most recent one was James. Before that was Sissaye.
