Blair is energetic, hopeful, and ambitious. She aspires to be the greatest mage in the world, so that no one will dare to mess with her or her family again.
This is because her family was once one of the wealthiest families in the city-state of Araphina, but they were betrayed by a fellow council member. They lost everything, and now her parents struggle to run a humble magic store, while Blair vows to find out who hurt her family, get some revenge, and restore her family's status.

Blair met Kestrel at his clinic after she had a run in with monsters, and has been to his clinic many times after that. Kestrel jokes about having a regular, to which Blair responds that someone has to fund Kestrel's expensive tastes, especially since Kestrel has a hard time accepting money for his services. As much as Blair can get annoyed by Kestrel's happy-go-lucky nature, she admires his kind heart.
