gwirm is a vagabond wood elf with a deep hatred towards daedra and undead, and he has devoted most of his life to banishing them. he's always willing to put himself in danger to save others, even when the odds of survival are low.

as a teenager gwirm lost his father to a daedric cult and was forced to kill him. the cult attempted to wipe out his home village as a twisted sacrifice, gwirm's father as one of their leaders. as a trusted village elder gwirm's father managed to hide his identity and the destruction was devastating, but with the help of remaining skilled survivors gwirm put an end to the slaughter before all was lost.

gwirm couldn't stand staying at his home village so he started wandering around valenwood and beyond, going where mercenary jobs took him. later in life he found comfort and purpose as a templar of stendarr.

he doesn't talk about his past in great detail, but isn't uncomfortable with it either. the scar on his forehead is from the last fight with his father. when people ask about it he makes up random stories, which vary from epic battles to him tumbling down a hill. gwirm is very headstrong and straightforward, but is known to crack a rare joke here and there.

as a wood elf, gwirm is pretty short and has a lot of energy and strength for a guy his age and size. he does complain like an old man, but he's not as decrepit as he likes to let on. gwirm doesn't actually have any kids or grandkids, but to his friends he's a protective grandpa figure. he's the one who will teach you all the budget solutions and life hacks in hunting, crafting, repairing things.... this, and his age, led to the nickname grandpa gwirm.

he enjoys bone carving. he never keeps the things he creates; he leaves them at shrines, graves, people's doors or gives them as gifts. gwirm is trans, gay and aromantic.
