Azazel is a 22-year-old college dropout, who is also, ironically, homeless. The man makes a living by pick-pocketing and stealing from local stores to get around. After reuniting with his childhood best friend, Spike, he tends to spend the night at his house (aka breaking in and spending the night.) The two of them grow closer over the next couple of years before Azazel eventually decides to leave for Spike's sake and his own sake. After that, they lost contact.. The years after that, the thief would try to get his life back together and actually get to a decent point of living. Who knows, maybe even get a job.
Growing up, Azazel didn't have the best childhood. Around the early stages of his life, he got put into foster care due to neglection from his birth parents. He never really enjoyed the foster parents he had throughout the years either, going out of his way to be a bother. The result being only one of few true parent figures in his life - the social worker assigned to him, Florence. The other being Stefan, who also happened to work in Florence's building. Florence was one of the few people who were patient with him. However, after a few years of working with him, Azazel had found out she had been reassigned, at the last minute. Due to his early childhood neglection, Azazel likes to draw attention to himself, sometimes being loud and obnoxious. The downside of this is that he doesn't do well being alone.
School years and mid-life
In Azazel's highschool years he struggled, he never cared about learning and even if he did, it was practically impossible for him. It was in his college years when he met Samir, who he nicknamed Spike, his soon-to-be best friend; who was trying to become a cop, while Azazel was going to be a lawyer. Azazel considered Spike to be his closest friend at the time.. which led to Azazel trying his hardest to study with him - simply to keep up with the man. The two of them continued to work but for Azazel is just wasn't working. He had begun to start failing his classes and as a result caused Spike started to study for classes he wasn't even taking.
Eventually it wasn't enough. Azazel was still failing and that resulted in a fight between the two boys. During the argument, Spike had called Azazel a failure - which struck him.. hard. In the midst of the argument Azazel packed a bag and left. He had dropped out of college with one year left before graduation. This led to him having a tremendous amount of student loan debt and nowhere to go.. resulting in him going homeless. The next few years he would learn to have to defend for himself and make a living, which resulted in learning how to pick-pocket and steal.
Early 20's and more
After a few years of being homeless and making a living from stealing; He, ironically, ran into an old familiar face.. Spike. Turns out Spike had graduated and finally got his dream job, becoming a cop. Ironically, the man arrested Azazel.. more than once. But the two started to get close again, just like their college years. Old romantic interests started to come back on top of that. But in the end, it just didn't quite workout - Spike had met a girl named Deana and as hard as it was for Azazel; He decided it was best to leave town to respect Spike's relationship. Azazel left town soon after to do something with his life, which he ended up doing. Azazel finally managed to go back to college and get his degree. Not much later, he had finally achieved his goal of becoming a lawyer.. it only took most of his life. Who knows, maybe he'll even run into an old friend again as well...
- Azazel has ADHD, which is part of the reason school and learning came so hard to him.
- He has an irrational fear of ducks and geese.
- Azazel loves snow globes and will collect a few from time to time!
- Most of the time Azazel studied to stay in school, simply because he wanted to be with Spike.
- Azazel's second choice of a job would be a social worker. Of course he'd have to get a job first.
- Azazel has a violent stress outlet, though he never directs it at people - mainly just violent video games and other forms of violent fiction.
- When seeing Azazel one of the first things you'll notice is that he usually wears is his neck fluff. It is crafted from one of Florence's coats, he usually brings it everywhere.
Spike • Romantic Interest
Spike is a good friend of Azazel; They had been friends since college. The two of them ended up seperating then reuniting years later.. only to find out Spike was a cop. The result being Spike the cause of Azazel's arrest.. more than once. But despite of all this, Azazel has hidden feelings for the guy.
Steven • Mutual friend
Steven is a mutual friend of Spike and Azazel. Steve is one of Spike's coworkers and as a result of which, gets used to seeing the redhead on the usual. The two of them have quite an upbeat, funny vibe together; Which is perhaps why they get along so well.
Thomas • Close friend
Thomas is the older brother of Steve, but is also a friend of Azazel. Thomas is similiar to Azazel in the fact that they both manage to leave/fail college. Neither of the two got their dream jobs. The two of them have similiar (in a way) personalities.
Florence • Mother figure
Florence is the woman who Azazel feels is the closest he'll ever get to a mother figure in his life. She was the social worker who was assigned and tasked with finding him new housing. Though Azazel never ended up liking any of his foster parents and ended up connecting with Florence at a young age. Unfortunately she was reassigned last second. Azazel lost all contact after that and starting searching for her when he was old enough.
Stefan • Father figure
Stefan is the father figure in Azazel's life. Similiar to Florence, Stef happened to work as an receptionist for the building Florence worked at. So it wasn't rare for Azazel to see him when coming in and out. Unlike Florence however, Azazel never managed to lose contact with Stef; In fact, Stefan regularly checked up on him throughout Azazel's college years.
