Marzipan
Marzi is very protective of Alex, in a sort of older brother kind of way. He can shape shift into many forms, some of which he uses to more easily deal with Alex’s monster forms. When not reminding Alex to take their meds or keeping their monster in check, he is usually complaining about his slim coat or the troubles of a shape shifting axolotl.
He/him
He is Alex’s best friend, primary caretaker, and emotional support axolotl. He reminds her to take their meds, and generally provides comfort to Alex when in a stressful situation. He is one of the only people to calm Alex down when she is in one of her monster forms. He is smug, grumpy, and sarcastic. He spends most of his time napping, complaining about the condition of his slim coat, or hanging out with Alex.
He is a shapeshifter and can alter his appearance or size as long as he maintains his protective slim coat. He generally stays around the size of a house cat.
He had Alex make him a ”service animal“ vest to deter others from touching him and ruining his slim coat, only Alex has that privilege.
