Totem Atrigin

Born from the tumultuous void between dimensional realities, Totem is a unique lifeform born not with a Soul, but rather a Body so tightly woven with the Essence which binds the spirit to the material, that it itself manifested as a being, assimilated from an amalgam of extra-ancient being's leftover ties to reality. This utterly unpredictable outcome gave way to Totem's sudden existence--fully grown and intelligent but with no understanding of why he was--into a multiverse dancing on the brink of catastrophe. Despite his mysterious birth, he was quick to find a path for himself, and found comfort in the wandering, adventurous life, passing from one dimensional reality to the next, ever wanting to simply live without the implications of his origins dragging him along a fated path.

Totem, a collective of imprints of ancient lives past, is a fairly complex person to mingle with. He carries an attitude of strictly looking ahead in his life, and often harshly abandoning his past as he continues along. This causes a conflict in his charismatic ability to socialize and form working relationships with people with casual ease, but also being able to coldly cut ties whenever he sees fit to move forward in his own ways. As such, he is a transient individual, who fades into and out of people's lives without ever truly settling down. For those who do enjoy his company, he is incredibly respectable and intellectual, though his flirtatious tendencies have a way to skew people's interpretations of his intentions. He carries himself with dignity and confidence, though never letting his judgement be soured by any of his own arrogant shortcomings.

Totem has the ability to produce tendrils of varying lengths and tension from any part of his body, often forming from both his flesh and clothes without tearing either. The white tendrils have a stony texture, yet are nigh unbreakable to kinetic damage. Totem uses the tendrils in simple, effective ways, for mobile, offensive, and defensive tactics. While he himself is physically strong, the tendrils seems to have strength several times greater than his own. Alongside this, Totem is also able to interact directly with the intangible Essence which binds Souls to Bodies, an ability that could only have conceptually ever belonged to the Creator of All, as no other beings could even comprehend Essence before Totem's coming.
