Sol will never dwell in the dark willingly and stays close to his lantern.
It is his preference to resolve problems without head on confrontation, and is also the type to flee if battle goes poorly.

Sol desires to reignite the flame, not for a selfless purpose - but a selfish one. He is deathly afraid of the dark and would stop at nothing to banish it entirely for his own peace of mind. It's not that he won't rest until the deed is done out of a sense of moral obligation; but quite literally, he cannot rest until this quest is complete.

Flaws

"S-Stay back! If you come any closer, this one will not spare you!"
He is cowardly as a rule and ideally would like to avoid a life of battle - but if cornered, he will struggle to survive like a wild animal; willing to do just about anything in order to survive... including sacrificing others.

"Dogs... I love dogs... That one smells of brambleberry... Wait, what's a dog?"
Sol is afflicted by madness, and as such, much of what  he says and does is inexplicable. It makes it difficult to communicate with him as part of a team and even harder to discern his intentions.
