A young mortesian rogue who was born in a human settlement to a mortal widow and a mortesian merchant. Due to the discrimination faced by mortesians and wanting Falk to live a normal childhood, the couple left the settlement to travel nomadically before eventually being found again. His mother who then sacrificed herself to save her husband and son. Being distraught by the whole incident, his father no longer deals with the humans and moved with his son to Mortalis, the mortesian settlement. It is a land that is encased in fog, making its location highly variable as mortesians are always on the move due to the fear of being found.

From a young age, Falk has been exposed to his father's art of trading. His father was a well known merchant among the humans while concealing his mortesian identity, having dealt with several wares and have made enough to even live among the humans. This very profession made his father the black sheep of the mortesian community, as most of them dislike ever having to negotiate with the humans as the discrimination laid strong between their kind. Only a handful of mortesians would try to coexist peacefully with the humans, but this often did not end in either of their favor.

Initially unwilling to follow his father's roots due to being bored with his lectures, Falk eventually found himself drawn to the life outside of Mortalis. His antics made it difficult for him to get along with his fellow kind and eventually took to his father's ways- only because he needed a reason to venture into the human settlement. Having his father's sense of business and having learnt the art of survival and hunting from his mortesian peers, he turned to swindling poor human passerbys who would look at his proclaimed lindwurm hide. (Which is really just boar leather.)

Falk found himself spending more and more time with the humans and grown used to their presence (albeit through a series of scamming to his own amusement), eventually quelling his fear for them after the incident with his mother. He eventually found himself falling in love with a young elven girl who lived among the people, bonding through their differences with the people and by an unlikely first encounter. The two then interacted and shared tales of their pasts, building an unbreakable trust between each other. The girl and him shared the same knack of curiosity for the world outside, leading up to her asking about going to Mortalis. Falk was reluctant at first, but eventually gave in to her pleas and took her to meet some of his kind. This however, ended in a facade that she was part of a group of anti-mortesian dryad elves who were keen on finding and purging their unnatural kind. Having the location in her grasp, the group eventually took to the settlement and wiped off some of his fellowmen. After tons of bloodshed and fighting, the mortesians found themselves on the losing end and fled. Falk himself included, was the survivor of the unfortunate incident.

The incident also left Falk permanently scarred from his nape down, revealing his entire spine which could never heal back and exposed due to the mortesian curse. His right eye is also compromised as well as several wounds on his body. The wounds were painful, but never quite as painful as the betrayal of his former lover, which left a bitter aftertaste and a hatred for elves. The other mortesians feared that he would once again expose them to the world thus they exiled him from Mortalis as well, leading up to his life as a rogue and wanderer. Despite everything that has happened, he still kept the lingering sense of curiosity and continued to venture around the lands, despite being aware the dangers that could await him beyond.
