Irezumi

This pakkeli lost his parents at a young age, left only with his older brother who was likewise nowhere near old enough to be a proper guardian to him.  The two did the best they could on the streets of Fidelio, and then they were approached by the thieves guild and offered shelter.  His brother accepted the offer, while he himself did not.  After pressure from his brother, he at least accepted help in being relocated to slightly better lodgings in Asara.  

Life in Asara wasn't really easier by any means, but it was slightly safer.  Though his brother visited from time to time, the visits eventually halted.  In his teens he fell in with a tougher crowd; a gang really.  He made ends meet through robbery and smuggling, though occasionally also made honest money playing bouncer at some of the local bars and clubs.  However, the gang eventually grew tired of simply scraping by, and strived for a life of cushy luxury.  When he was approached with the planned assassination, he knew he was in too deep.  He, and 2 other members of the gang decided to leave the gang.  The three fled Asara and went their separate ways: One to Aloidia, one to Nubui, and he himself to Yokovich.

He worries somewhat that some of the increases in crime in the area is due to his arrival attracting his ex gang who is undoubtedly looking to erase him, though of course it could just be paranoia.
