The kingdom of Gardenia is a proud kingdom boasting of thousands plant species, Sprouts species, The roses, in particular were designated knights and protectors of the kingdom. When the plants are to bloom that is when they have moved forward from a squire to a knight.
It was a simple process, one that was effective for thousands of years...up until Sprout came along. She was brilliant with the sword, swift, agile, and elegant, there really wasn't anything wrong...until she had somehow got infected with a disease...Rose Rot.
The Rose Rot laid dormant for awhile. Naive Sprout went about her training infecting a handful of her friends and the kingdom. She began to notice something strange in her body in where she was losing her voice and things were wilting around her...On the day of being knighted with her friends--she could not bloom. A handful of her friends were in the same situation as well. It was a taboo, and that was when the disease began to rear its head beginning with small pink spots...then black vines wrapping around the citizens of Gardenia. It was an epidemic.
The citizens rotted on the inside, loosing the ability to create life--they could only destroy. The rulers of Gardenia could see they were loosing control and banished all the infected.
No one was really happy about losing their home and being sent away and thus a civil war formed.
Sprout, realizing she had started this disaster went to the kingdom begging for forgiveness. Her efforts were futile. Rather...the Infected and the non-infected began to hunt her down for this terrible situation.
She managed to flee, as of now, Sprout has poisonous powers and befriended a frog who is her voice as the Rose rot has stole her ability to talk.
