Profile

History: Drakula Helsing is the current vampire lord of Sivia, a land known for a population of vampires. Holding this title, many people often describe him as the leader of the vampire race. Throughout history, the Helsing family have been known for being a royal "pureblood" vampire lineage, and essentially, regarded as the strongest bloodline of all vampires. They are both admired and feared, loved and hated. Sivia is ruled by the Helsing family and throughout this power, the strong monarchy developed a severe class split between "pureblood" vampires and other vampires with mixed blood.

      --Beginning
Before Drakulas reign, his father, Demidicus, was in power. At the time, humans were of abundance while vampires and other nonhumans lurked throughout the night. Humans had a very strong hold on other "monsters", forming religions that portrayed them as demons of cain. Vampires were seen as inhuman and often hunted, and humans would use parts of their body, such as fangs and eyes, as trinkets and decorations. Due to mass hunting and slaughter, Demidicus's ruling became focused on strengthening the vampire race and establishing themselves on top of the "hierarchy." He was also focused on the idea of vampires never going hungry. During his reign, he established his son as a general of the military and pursued his plan to enslave the human race. Throughout this, Drakula was known for leading raids of villages that involved imprisoning and mass slaughtering humans. Because of Demidicus's fathering, Drakula was raised to see humans as no more than food.

During a night of raiding a village, Drakula broke in the home of a young woman by the name of Mina Harper. Drak had already been questioning his fathers reign a the time--- and when Mina was determined to fight back towards him knowing she had no chance, he spared her. After that, a relationship established and grew between the two ending in a romance. After growing sympathy towards humans, Drakula rebelled against his father and formed a group of people to dethrone him (many of these people now being current subordinates). During this rebellion, Mina and Drakula had a son by the name of Leviticus, traveling with him as a baby. When Draks father figured out that the Helsing blood had been "tainted," he was determined to execute all three of them.

At the end of Demidicus's reign, Drak murdered both his parents with silver bullets, with silver being an extremely rare element that causes great anguish for a vampire if pierced, resulting in a quick and painful death. He was also determined in murdering the rest of his family who had been involved. After their overthrow, Drakula took his position as king and established his own reign, and the human race became endangered.

     --Current
Around Levi's pre-teen years, Mina became sick and died before Drakula could make her a vampire. His hesitation came from the idea she wouldnt live through it, even before getting sick. This caused incredible regret and angst within him, blaming himself and becoming lifeless. After her passing, Drak's attitude towards his ruling and others began to shift, isolating himself from the outside world and rarely coming in contact with the public. He also became emotionally distant with his son, causing a wall between them until Leviticus reached adulthood. Around this time, Leviticus was mostly looked after by subordinates due to Drakulas isolation.

As King, Lord Drakula himself maintains a dark and ominous image, holding himself to high standards around the public and wanting to be seen as a powerful ruler. Drakula fears another uprising and because of this, its lead to mistrust towards his citizens and race. His laws are cruel and often result in torture and brutal executions for even simple crimes, such as theft and forgery. In the end, some vampires agree with Drak's decision to dethrone Demidicus, however Sivia is now in a starvation crisis that Drakula has yet to address, causing unrest and many mixed vampires to be on edge due to a lack of nutrient. Sivia has generally become an unsafe place to live, without allowing vampires to enter and leave the country as they please. Many civilians have also resulted in trade due to their money being useless, and the economy has come to a halt.

Personality: Behind doors, Drak's image can easily be perceived as no more than an anxious, trauma-filled old man, preferring to stay in the comfort of his home and only see the public when he has to. He can easily be messed with or startled, and is very weary of anybody he meets. He tends to be stuck in his ways and likes following routine, avoiding situations that make him uncomfortable. He tends to always keep to himself and stay behind walls, enjoying tea and usually having an abundance of paperwork. When he has more time to himself, he likes poetry, theatre, and walks by the shore. Drakula is also very loyal to his friends and loved ones, losing many during his fathers reign. A majority of the ones who survived now live along side him in the castle. With losing so many people, Drakula has developed trauma around the idea of death, and despite wanting to isolate himself, hes ultimately afraid of being alone.

Occupation: As the lord of vampires, Drakula has full control and management over Sivia. He deals with a variety of issues that overtake his days, whether thats paperwork or attending meetings with subordinates and others of the monarchy, such as dukes and counts. Because of focusing on the economic and political sides, major issues such as starvation and police corruption have been overlooked.
