Description

Bunny's parents died when she was very young, leaving her orphaned and never having known them. She spent a lot of her life in foster care, befriending a girl named Dollie that was about 2 years older than her. While they were friends she adopted her name as Bunny, named for a stuffed rabbit she carried with her everywhere, and ddisregards her legal name under the pretext that "No one that's ever mattered called me that". Over time Dollie became obsessed with trying to escape foster care, with both of them becoming anxious the longer they stayed, and Dollie pulled Bunny into a plan. At 15 and 17, they managed to flee, struggling to live on their own but convincing themselves that the freedom was worth it. While a bit controlling, Dollie acted as her protector while they were together, causing Bunny to have generally conflicting feelings towards her. Almost a full year later after they had started living on the street, a stranger approached them in an alleyway begging for money and brandishing a knife. Panicking, Dollie tried to tackled them and only got herself caught and held with a knife to her chest. Bunny begged them not to do anything, and swore they had no money, but things escalated into Dollie getting stabbed in a heated moment. Realizing what they had done, the would-be mugger fled. With no kind of education on these kinds of injuries, they both had no idea what to do and only held each other tight, crying as Dollie bled out in Bunny's arms. At only 16 years old, Bunny was left heavily traumatized by the situation and brought Dollie's body back to an abandoned house that she knew of nearby. The building ended up being a secret lab for Renaud Mondray, who helped her with Dollie and practically raised her, though not very well due to his skewed morals. She began reading as much as she could at her level, searching for ways to help Dollie, how to preserve a body, and eventually becoming obsessed with trying to revive her and in turn, learning necromancy. As she grew up she took as many jobs as she could, saving up money to get her own house after hiding Dollie's body. At around 21, she managed to get a small house with a basement, opting to hide Dollie's corpse there and seal it off to everyone but herself, and a relatively stable job. While she tried her best to seem normal and did act weird sometimes, no one really questioned it and just let her work doing the heavy lifting. Over time at her house she converted the basement to be a sort of half library half lab for her to study necromancy further, and had Dollie dressed in new clothes seated at a table against the wall acting as a sort of focus for her studies, occasionally sitting down to "talk" to her. Outside of her work, she took up swordfighting as a hobby so she had something to focus on that didn't require too much thought between her job and studying. (also shes bi)
