Childhood
Jinxx was born to her single mother. She only ever told her stories about him and how he had died over seas. Jinxx never questioned her. The you girl did notice that her mom had some odd friends and an even stranger business.
Jinxx was only young, and he rmother started teaching her about witchcraft and what the family business was. By the time she was 10, she was helping in the shop with herb bundles and simple spells. She continued to grow and blossom as a young witch.
Teenage years
Jinxx's powers, although she had them since she was born, fully manifested by her sweet sixteen. Her mother gifted her the first grimoire she would ever own, one that was passed down through their family for generations.
By the time she turned 18, she was able to control most of her power, but was still figuring new things out every day from her mother, or by pure accident.
Now...

A few days after her 18th birthday, she meets Harley, the two becoming inseperable.
Around this time she had started seeing a young man by the name of Caleb Vitale around school. He was new to town the two instantly clicked.
She started having nightmares more frequently around this time as well, usually about a white eyed man in a mask, and horrible ways in which he would try to kill her, or her mother dying in some horrible accident. She chalked them up to strange nightmares, and never brought them up with anyone.
It had started out as a normal day, with school done for the spring break, the two witches were in the shop making up orders and herb bundles when Jinxx's mother rushed out, claiming she had business to attend to, leaving the shop in her capable hands.
Hours pass and she hears nothing from her, as she starts to grow more concerned, the weather turns dark and stormy, and then there is a knock on the shop door.
her mother was murdered downtown, in the wrong place at the wrong time. She knows that is wrong, this was foul play.
Since she is now considered an adult, the shop does fall to her. She quits her part time job as a barista at a coffee place and works full time at the shop. She throws herself fully into honing her magic abilities, and to running the shop as she finishes the last few months of school.
