Pearpounce

Confident and headstrong, Pearpounce hit the ground running when it came to her aspirations of becoming the best Ranger in the Mire. She was a model Novice, working hard to please her mentor, Lionfur. Towards the end of her training, however, she got caught in the sinking mud of the swamps, a place where many Colony traitors had been sentenced to death. She was saved through the combined efforts of Brierwish, Pineheart and Minkfang but the near drowning had left her with severe neurological injuries and she began to suffer coordination issues and seizures. 

She was told by Petalbreeze that she could never become a Ranger. But Pearpounce was having none of it, and she began to work harder than she had ever done before, despite the agony and setbacks. After many moons of therapy and training, she would go on to become of Lady Skyshine's finest Rangers.

FATHER:  Echolight - Prefers his company more than her mother's. Echolight saw potential in Pearpounce and paid extra attention to her after her accident, making her something of a favourite.

MOTHER: Pearbear- Feels she's somewhat overprotective and mollycoddles her and her siblings a lot. There's no doubt she loves her mother, but she wishes that she would stop treating her like a kit due to her accident when she is one of the most capable warriors under Lady Skyshine's command. In her own mind anyway.

SIBLINGS: Showerspike - Dislikes him heavily due to his mistreatment of Dandelionstripe and the fact that he's an ableist garbage fire who is resentful of his close relationship to their father. Tansydawn - as Dandelionstripe's sister and closest friend, she often aids in Pearpounce's care and the three of them form something of a trio, cracking jokes and exchanging stories.

Dandelionstripe - Is kind of an aunt figure to her and is always willing to give her advice. After Pearpounce has a severe accident that results in permanent, neurological injury, Dandelionstripe quickly becomes her carer and tends to her.

Drizzlebright - Knows that her accident has had a profound effect on her and often tries to comfort her on it. These attempts are often in vain and Pearpounce knows that her half-sister tries to avoid her in a bid to not hurt her feelings. It only makes her feel worse. 

Tansymoon - The two bicker endlessly but still love each other regardless. The biggest pair of vitriolic best buddies in the Mire. 

Dappletuft - Is often exasperated by his clumsiness but still loves him for generally being agreeable and laid-back and not getting involved in family drama.

MENTOR: Lionfur - constantly ran rings around her due to her ambitious nature and boundless personality. Lionfur took it all in her stride, however, and worked equally as hard to make Pearpounce into a Ranger everyone could be proud of. With an added dose of kindness and maturity.
