"ummm oh haha gotta go!! don't wanna be killed by one of these guys haha" n giles goes "no hold on, I'd like to talk to you. stay here, I'll keep you safe." and as much as they wanna dash out bc they don't want anyone to find out they're undead, his promise of safety is really comforting so they stick around with him

> it was really funny for the rest of the gang to see giles bring a guy back from the club . xander already starts on "who's this, mr. giles? got a boyfriend?" and although that was purely meant as a joke n xander didnt actually think they had a thing, both of them are all awkward about it because they both have already begun to become drawn to each other's awkward charm and cuteness so they're both embarrassed by that suggestion so soon
